While working as an instructor at the University of Central Florida, I was contacted by Sage Publications and Routledge on numerous occasions to complete textbook reviews. This entailed the publishers sending me advanced, unpublished copies of the text as well as a questionnaire inquiring as to my personal experience with this text. This required my skills, knowledge, and expertise in both editing as well as various criminal justice topics. In addition, feedback had to be provided to the author and publisher in a concise and effective manner by a predetermined deadline.
