Welcome to My ePortfolio

I am a five-time graduate from the University of Central Florida, where I spent over 20 years acquiring the skills and knowledge that I am now hoping to bring to a real-world setting in a meaningful way.

During my time at UCF, I earned a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with minors in Marketing and Criminal Justice, a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and master’s degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies and Criminal Justice.  At the beginning of the pandemic (March 2020), I defended my Dissertation on Zoom to earn my Ph.D. in Public Affairs with a focus in Criminal Justice. Since I completed my Doctorate during a pandemic, I decided to go back to UCF to earn graduate certificates in e-Learning and Design, Instructional Design, and College Teaching and Leadership to better prepare me for a post-pandemic academic and employment environment. In addition to the academic work that I completed while at UCF, I also created and instructed numerous undergraduate courses, attended and presented at conferences and guest lectures, wrote textbook chapters and instructors manuals, and reviewed a number of academic texts prior to their publication. I also created written, digital, and audible content both solely and as a member of a team.

While working on and completing my education, my time was also spent attending to the medical needs of my father. This entailed his home medical and personal care, management of his medications and appointments, and the handling of his medical records. An extension of this care was necessary following the completion of my education as the level of care required had increased, leading to greater time commitments and responsibilities.

As I no longer have the academic and personal demands of my time, I am ready to find employment in an area that will allow me to utilize my education and life experiences in an impactful way.
